Can I keep a transparent background?
Choose WebP to retain transparency. JPG puts transparent areas on a white background.
Is a smaller file guaranteed?
No. An already optimised image can grow when re-encoded. The result shows the size change so you can keep the original when it is better.
Will it crop or stretch my photo?
No. The maximum-width setting keeps the original proportions and never enlarges a smaller image. It exports a still image without the original metadata.
